People’s Choice Voting Underway For 2024 Road Safety Art Contest Finalists

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) 2024 Road Safety Art Contest offers students in kindergarten through 12th grade an opportunity to submit original art, videos, photography, and more with a message that encourages all roadway users to share the road safely, especially around large trucks and buses.

The submission period closed in June, and now FMCSA is invites you to help select the “People’s Choice” winners. Starting July 9 through 14, the top selections for each category will be added to the Our Roads, Our Safety Facebook page. There, the public can cast their votes for their favorite entry in each category to earn the title of “People’s Choice.” Voting is easy! Simply “like” the picture you’d like to nominate for the award.

Vote for your favorites in four grade-based categories (K-2nd grades, 3rd-5th grades, 6th-8th grades, and 9th-12th grades). Winners will be announced this fall and featured along with our grand prize and honorable mention winners on the FMCSA website, social media channels, and in a 2025 calendar that is distributed nationwide.

FMCSA works to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities involving large trucks and buses. We are excited to offer this fun and engaging activity annually to children all over the country in kindergarten through 12th grades.

The contest is an effort to highlight how everyone on our roads has a responsibility to keep each other safe. It’s never too early to start learning the rules of the road, and this year’s art submissions are full of great reminders to help us all stay safe on our nation’s roads.
